This listing is for an info product, affiliate, Amazon Associates, advertising, and subscription business created in September 2014 in the news & education niche. The WordPress site features educational courses (hosted on Kajabi) that teach people how to make money online. With multiple sources of revenue, including a subscription model that brings in monthly recurring revenue, and diversity of traffic sources and an even spread of traffic, this is a business that has a solid foundation to build from.
The business primarily generates revenue from its info product (78%) and affiliate (20%) offers found on the site. Traffic stems from organic search (47%), direct (38.5%), and referral (8.6%) sources. This traffic is also evenly spread across the website, with the top three pages accounting for no more than 5.5% of the total traffic.
The business’s primary revenue comes from the 10 online courses currently being offered on the website. The courses are mostly hands-off and do not require much work from the Seller. There are currently 4 course creators who have their courses listed on the website and receive a revenue share from the course sales. There is room to expand by offering more courses.
The Seller spends no more than 10 hours a week on general communications, updating links, and assigning content to the writer. Also, because there are automated email funnels, some work is done on Convertkit scheduling emails and promotions. The email list consists of 57,668 subscribers.
The Seller has built connections with affiliates and also promotes affiliate products on the website, which is the second-largest income stream for the business. They even offer a small amount of blog/email sponsorship. There are requests received almost daily for new affiliate relationships and sponsorships. These can be pursued further by the buyer. Currently, it is not a priority of the Seller.
The business has 3 contracted workers, including a community support manager, a customer support/tech virtual assistant and a product leads research assistant. There are also 4 JV partners with courses being hosted on the site. For the last 2 years, there was a paid writer creating all new email and blog content. She will not be continuing with the business.
The community support manager handles all customer interactions and acts as the face of the course support group on Facebook, leaving the business owner free from having to participate actively in the group. There are currently 5,085 students in the group. She is aware of the sale and would love to stay on with the buyer.
The customer support VA will continue to work with the Seller on a part-time basis, this will not interfere with their ability to continue working with the Buyer as well.
Most of the marketing is automatic through email sales funnels. There is room for growth by doing more live campaigns and promotions throughout the year and promoting new products as an affiliate.
One area for growth potential is to create more courses within the niche. The seller would be happy to share ideas with the buyer. Another area to consider would be developing software. The business has worked with many software developers to get up and running but has not pursued actually creating their own software.
Two areas that have not been focused on are running paid ads and SEO/Link Building.
